Hello, I am trying to narrow down an issue where my clients website keep getting taken down by HostGator due to CPU usage. When looking through stats I notice that several theme files are getting hot with a majority of the traffic, do you have an insight as to why this may be? I’m adding the top of the list in private viewing. HG Has the site down right now so I can’t get version info, but everything should be up to date as of Friday. I will add cpanel to private if you need it thanks!

Wait what? I didn’t ask you to optimize the site I asked what the cause would be for all the theme files to be receiving so much traffic, why would they be showing up to receive any traffic at all and could it be the cause of the drag?

To that your answer is if our theme speed sucks take your money back? How is that even an answer? I’m sorry if you may have been having a bad day and didn’t feel like answering my question. Maybe today is better and you’re willing to give it another try?

Hello,

We can’t understand what causes problem with CPU usage on your site because we don’t have them on our test installations.
/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php – this file works once appears Ajax requests – add to cart, add to wishlist, Ajax search, both WC and our theme and Wishlist plugin use it.
/wp-content/themes/xstore/fonts/xstore-icons.ttf, /wp-content/themes/xstore/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2 – fonts of the icons, we can’t remove them
/wp-content/plugins/yith-woocommerce-wishlist/assets/fontawesome – wishlist plugin uses icons.

wp-cron.php – this is WP file you can disable it via wp-config.php
define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);
