Simple and variable products are added to cart different manner

Not really a big deal I just want to understand why Simple and Variable products are added to cart different manner?!

For example, when I add to cart Simple product, notification about successful adding to cart is being shown in little pop-up window. But when Variable product is added to the cart, this notification is being shown in the same window above product.
I wonder why it is not the same for both?

Hello,

Pop window works only for simple products. There is no such option for variable ones. Sorry.

I find it silly to have two different manners of adding products in one store 🙂 Maybe it is possible to fix this in future update? By fix I mean letting go of one of it and leaving one common.

Hello,

For now there is no such possibility. Sorry.
If you wish you can disable Ajax “Add to Cart” option in Theme Options > Single Product Page, so simple and variable products will be added to cart similarly.
