Hi there,
after filtering the products on the shop page by “Price: ow to high” or “Price: high to low” only the first six products get sorted, the later ones will remain unordered. Any idea what might be the reason?
Furthermore I’d like to change the filter options: I want to delete the options “Popular first” and “Best rated first” as we don’t use any rating options. Can you give me a hint how I can achieve that?
Thanks and best regards
Gesine
Hello,
1) Provide us with WP Dashboard access to check the issue with the sorting in more detail.
2) That selector is the default WooCommerce option and it does not have settings to disable any positions there. It’s possible only via additional customization, for example https://rudrastyh.com/woocommerce/sorting-options.html . Or contact WooCommerce support about this.

Hi Olga,
please see the private Content area.
Thanks!
Sorry Rose, please see the updated username in the private content area!
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please check the details in “Private Content area”…
Delete demo products and create new own products with prices, then the filter should work fine.

Hi Rose,
we’ve now deleted all demo products and inserted own products. unfortunately, there are still some issues:
On the Shop page, clicking on the category or subcategory filters in the sidebar the header banner (static Block) defined for this specific archive page is not loading correctly (without background image and formatting for the subheading). After refreshing the page (reloading the by URL) the banner is loading correctly. We’ve already deactivated third party plugins and cleared all caches but couldn’t find a solution yet. Any idea?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,
We have added fix to child theme functions.php. Check now, please.

Hi Olga,
thanks for the fix! It seems to work now BUT after choosing one of the filter options in the sidebar the category “Geschenkverpackung” (gift wrapping) is visible – which is set to “don’t show” in Category options. After refreshing the page it is invisible again. Any explanation for that?
Thanks and best regards!

Hello,
Has it happened after our fix?
which is set to “don’t show” in Category options
– Where exactly, provide a screenshot, please.
Check how it works with a default theme, like Storefront.
Regards
Hi Rose,
actually, the two “products” gift wrapping big and small are set to “hidden in the product catalogue” (see screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_p4A0bV5FE2ivxU-brHMtLjYyrvT-g-r/view?usp=sharing).
As you can see on the main shop page (categories with images) and in its sidebar the category “Geschenkverpackung” (gift wrapping) is hidden because there are no products to be shown.
Storefront doesn’t seem to provide this filter categories in the sidebar. So I cannot check this…
Hello,
Our functionality of ajax categories is working next way:
After clicking the category from sidebar we send a request to get the page of this category and replace some content with new one.
That means that after refreshing the page or simply going to the page of that category you will see the same products/banners/etc.
Also, we have checked that category content with StoreFront theme and we have found the same results -> https://prnt.sc/26wzdet.
Answers from our developers are next:
We think that option from woocommerce (hide from catalog -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_p4A0bV5FE2ivxU-brHMtLjYyrvT-g-r/view ) works only on shop page by default. And according to fact we compared with default theme – we have the same products on this category page. We would recommend you to contact with plugin author and ask them about the issue.
You may contact with WooCommerce on their github -> https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce or submit a topic on wordpress support -> https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

Thanks for the research! But I cannot comprehend the point of the screenshot: no category named “Geschenkverpackung” is displayed!! So with storefront the problem doesn’t seem to exist!
Just to make sure my description of the issue I observe has become clear:
When I select a category from the sidebar of the main Shop page the category “Geschenkverpackung” is added to the sidebar which doesn’t contain any products. So why is it shown while other categories without any products are hidden as well?
After refreshing the page (loading the identical URL again), tha category “Geschenkverpackung” vanishes from the sidebar.
I don’t want to display it at any time as it doesn’t make sense to show gift wrapping options as seperate category!
I observe this issue after you’ve fixed the banner issue with custom code in the child theme’s functions.php.
Thanks in advance for providing a solution for this!
Best regards from Germnay

Could you, please, check now?

Perfect, thanks! Now it seems to work fine. Just being curious: what exactly did you change to fix it?
You’re welcome!
