Hi,
just to be sure:
so you can confirm that the .po/.mo DE files included in the up-to-date release match the current structure? So I need to remove the goofy parts of the DE translation and do the adaptions I have done before?
I don’t wanna end up like this time doing quite some work and throwing it away afterwards.
Best regards

Dear EightTheme Team,
would you PLEASE assist me with these issues? As stated before this thread is going on for weeks/months now and I need to deliver a descent translation for the site I’m working on. Please look through this thread and instruct how to proceed!
If you need further information, just ask. Just don’t let this slip.
Thanks again!
Best regards,

Can I contribute more information to solve that issue?
Best regards,
???
Did you decide to look into that? If yes, when will there be a fix?
Are you planning to discard the described translation issues? Would a new post outlining the issues help?
Just let me know. Please take a look at comment #47677 ( https://www.8theme.com/topic/several-issues-with-the-template-regarding-the-translationdesign/page/5/#post-47677 ) . I asked if it would be safe to edit the provided .mo/.po DE files / if the so applied translation would work with the current version of the theme A WEEK AGO.
I never got an answer.
I think the theme economy is a great concept. (Dev)Users act as unpaid testers and get access to affordable and mostly cosy solutions in the WordPress world but there’s no point in the whole procedure if bugs aren’t handled on time at your side. As a (Dev)User you need to trust the built quality of a theme… if thingy work shitty you can’t deploy a specific solution and the negative financial impact is much larger than the licencing cost + invested tester work.
…
Any suggestions?
Best regards

please give me an ETA for the fix. I need to communicate deadline issues to my client and

isn’t really helpful to solve that issue.
-> Are the provided .mo/.po DE files out-of-sync regarding theme structure?
-> Yes/No/How to use them to build quality translations?
Thanks again for you previous efforts!

Hello,
Till the words are Fuzzy they won’t be translated on frontend. Edit your .po file and select fuzzy string press Fuzzy button. String will change color from gold to black. Save .po file and replace .po, .mo files. I have made this for Home and Projects words. Check.

Olga Barlow
Hi Olga,
mh, thanks! I’m confused because they were marked as non-fuzzy before. That didn’t work so I changed them to fuzzy.
I’ll try translating the other parts again now.
Does the new update cover the hard wired portfolio translation issue?
Best regards,

Hi,
I still stumble over the translation of
http://i.imgur.com/hj0v11n.png
When searching the forum I found that post:
https://www.8theme.com/topic/woocommerce-and-legenta-possible-string-conflicts/#post-4020
Is this translation string still buggy?
I can’t find it in the legenda .po files.
Best regards,
Hello,
That text is present in the file wp-content/themes/legenda/languages/default.po in the latest Legenda 2.8 version.
Did you update the theme?
If not, before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva,
when looking at the post

Unfortunately this is a bug which should be fixed in the next version.
So now you have to edit the files mentioned in the previous post. Sorry.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
I thought that this issue may have got lost during the update cycles.
The last update of legenda on the relevant site happened ~2 months ago but I remember updating heavily in the early months of 2015. I can’t find the relevant .po snippet, though and the quoted post is dated with May 2014 so I’m confused.
What went wrong? Did you discard the issue until the latest update?
