Hi, I have removed the separator from the Slider revolution , however gtmetrix is still showing a connection “https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/furniture2/wp-content/uploads/sites/49/2017/09/separator.png”

Please help to check what is wrong as it is adding to dns request and load times.
If needed, please advice how to host that image locally to prevent external dns requests

    gtmetrix

Can we also have a guide as there are many fonts loading on the website taking up additional loading time, removing google fonts on massive panel still shows connection to google fonts as well.

Please advice if Awesome font is required for my site?

    Hello,

Go to Theme Options > Custom CSS > search for the custom code
    .head-title::after{margin-left:30px;margin-right:32px;position:relative;bottom:9px;content:url(https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/furniture2/wp-content/uploads/sites/49/2017/09/separator.png)} and remove it.

    Hello,

You can upload the fonts via XStore > Custom fonts. And then just choose the necessary custom font at Theme Options > Typography.
If you don’t use FA icons in the menu then you don’t need to enable FA support in the optimization settings.

    Hi,

Would appreciate some specific help rather than offering ideas.

    1) Does my specific website requires or is using FA ICONS?

    2) I have already removed google fonts from massive panel, why is there still connection to gfonts?

    Hello,

    1) I see the you use the FA icons for the wishlist on the single product page because you did not set recommended settings according to the theme documentation https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/wishlist/ If you change the wishlist icon settings according to docs to use only XStore icons font you can disable the FA support in the Theme Options > Site Optimization.

    2) You are using google fonts for the body, headings, menu via theme options and header builder. So, removing google fonts from the Massive Addons plugin panel does not affect the Theme Options that also use the google fonts by default.

Hi thanks for the detailed explanation.

I am trying to follow the wishlist setting that you said but clicking anything on the drop down menu for the icon remains stuck at (object object) please see screenshot. please advice?

    2) I have not edited anything from the preset theme, which would mean it is using google font by default, can you advice how we can amend this to prevent any usage of google font, or to host the font locally? thanks

    Hello,

    1) Provide us with temporary WP Dashboard access to check and help you with the Wishlist settings.
    2) Tried to explain it in the very first message:

You can upload the fonts via XStore > Custom fonts. And then just choose the necessary custom font at Theme Options > Typography to use locally hosted font instead of the loading google font

    Hello,

    1) I have chosen the necessary options. FA support and loading from our theme is disabled.
    2) I meant uploading fons using Custom font area http://prntscr.com/tyaqx4 and then using them via Theme Options http://prntscr.com/tyasoc It prevents loading of these fonts from google server. Check now.

    Hi,

Thank you a lot for helping with point 1 , 2.

    I have some further questions,

    1) Under Xstore Speed optimization, I see Font awesome is turned off, however under Gtmetrix it still shows a fa font loading through massive panel (is this font awesome?)

    2) Under Xstore speed optimization, there is a “Remove Query Strings From Theme Static Resources” turned on, as I have WP rocket running, is this right to turn on or off?

    3) There is still a total of 10 fonts loading from my site, is there anyway we can further reduce this to improve loading time?

    4) Is there anyway we can reduce “non cookie-free” components, as seen from Gtmetrix, other than facebook / google analytics there are some components mainly the logo as well as rev slider – please kindly see the image.

    5) Is there a recommended plug in for fb chat integration? I previously used the official fb chat plugin and it caused a severe increase in page loading time, thereafter i switched to get button but its not live chat, also alot of dns lookup. Please advice.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

    1) That font comes from Massive Addons plugin. It’s not our theme FA font.
    2) You may keep it on if you don’t see conflicts with WPRoket.
    3) You added loading of 10 fonts at the WP Rocket settings http://prntscr.com/tyv6k1 We have removed some unused fonts.
    4) Read this article https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/889-parallelize-downloads-across-hostnames-serve-static-content-from-a-cookieless-domain
    5) We don’t have recommendations for the third-party plugins. We could help you only with theme settings, sorry.

    Hello,

If you don’t use the MA elements in the page content you can remove it. You can disable plugin and check the frontend, if you find the shortcodes instead of the content then MA element is used there. You can try to replace the missing content with other elements to suit your design.
