Hello again, some issues I’ve had with the search function:
SEARCH
I have three different search areas on the site.
PRODUCT SEARCH (on product pages) is working as it should. A search for ‘Insomnia’ correctly retrieves two products.
BLOG SEARCH (on Blog pages) however returns not only all the relevant posts, but also those two products which are displayed as posts and scattered among the actual posts. So, it’s returning posts AND products. Can that be fixed so that it only returns posts?
GLOBAL SEARCH (in the header) is set to retrieve products, posts and pages. Which in most cases, it successfully does. If you search for ‘Insomnia’ it correctly retrieves two products, four posts and one page.
However, if you search for a search term that only retrieves one product, you are directed to the product page, and so does not display the posts and pages. You can try this with the search term ‘Sherlock’, which should return one product and five posts, but it only returns the product.
Also, in the full-width search, the ‘Trending Searches’ buttons do not work.
On the Search Results page, is it possible to change the display format for each? i.e. at the moment ‘products found’ is a grid, while ‘posts found’ and ‘pages found’ are carousels.
Many thanks in advance
–Gary.
Hello,
BLOG SEARCH. We can do nothing with this. This is default WordPress search widget that displays all the search results including products. If you want to show posts only you need to look for the third-party plugin or create custom widget to search by posts only.
GLOBAL SEARCH. Provide us with FTP access to your site. We’ll check the issue with redirect and Trending Searches in more detail.
We don’t have option to change the results of the search page, unfortunately. If you need something custom then you may look for the third-party search plugins and replace our search by the plugin search.

Thanks for your help. I’ll have to look into another solution for the blog search and search results.
FTP credentials are in the Private Content Area.
Thanks once again for your excellent support.
Hello,
Thank you. I have passed the issue to our developers. I’ll inform you once they fix the problems.
