  Hello,

  Can you explain how the search bar works? Does it only search product names or does it include tags, attributs, categories, etc? Is there a way to change what is searches for? If I search for a category it only returns the products where the category name happens to be in the product name. This is not all that great.

  Hello,

  The search form searches only for the words that are mentioned in the products titles.
  If you want to extend these features you may try to use 3rd-party plugins.

  can you make any recommendations on third party plugins? Are you using the default woocommerce search or your own?

  Hello,

  If you want to have default search form you need edit the file wp-content/themes/royal/woosearchform.php (line 15) and remove the code <input type="hidden" name="post_type" value="product" />.
