Can you please help me to identify which scripts are responsible for “search” form in the header ?
I’m asking, as we noticed a significant performance/speed drop of “search” when we turn on caching plug-in (LiteSpeedCache in our case). So I’m trying to figure out what to exclude from caching in order to perform more tests.
Hello,
Try frontend-script.min.js file ( wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/app/models/customizer/frontend/js folder )

hi
it did not change much TBH 🙁 Any other ideas ? 🙂 what else I could exclude from cache what could improve speed of searching ? or maybe should I look into some other page elements which could slow down search ? ane ideas much appreciated 🙂
There is another topic i identified. Please see video from prv area.
In short … search function does not search correctly by variations of the product. In my example … I have a product with SKU m_M000600. Than, I do have variations with the following SKUs: M000600, M000601, M0000602, M000603
And now when I put for example M000603 into the search field, ajax search finds a product and shows on the drop down list but when I click on “search button” on the right, search result shows “no items matched your search. Are those 2 mechanisms different ? why results are different ?
Hello,
I have passed your issue to our developers. They will check if they could do anything with the search speed and fix the issue with search by SKU. We have a lot of requests these days, so take our apologies for the possible delay.

seems all good 🙂 .. .what did you do ? 😉
Hello,
We made some code fixes in the /xstore/framework/theme-functions.php
We’ll include a fix in the next theme update.

awesome 🙂 … thank you. 🙂 if you could also do something with a speed of this search it would be lovely 🙂
Hello,
You are welcome.
At this moment we don’t have tips to improve the search speed. But we are working on general theme improvements for the major speed update and I’ll tell our developers to take a closer look at the search option.
