Hi,
Since updates my search box in top menu is not working properly. It should show a dropdown of product results (as on staging5.swankypins.co.uk), but on the production site it just says ‘products / Posts / pages but does not show any results.
Debbie
I have cleared the site cache and all browser caches. I always use an incognito window as well which doesn’t store a cached version.
I am still not getting the search results with images.
I do not understand why you can see things I can’t. Its the same with the mobile hamburger menu, you can see it but neither me or my friends who I asked to test it can access the menu.
As I am not having the same problems with my staging site (which reflects updates immediately after clearing site cache and checking in an incognito window), I don’t know what cache can possibly be interfering with how I view the site.
Have you any ideas what else I can check, because definitely I am not seeing the same things as you.
Debbie
Hello,
Do you use Windows or OS? What browser do you use? What version? Provide us with video of the issue, please.
Regards
Yes I use Windows. I have tried in Chrome V91.0.4472, Edge V 92.0.902.55 and Firefox V 90.0.2. All are up to date.
Can you please let me know how to attach a screenshot or video and I will show you. I have never had so many problems with an update, I always clear site cache and use incognito windows when checking but this time no amount of cache cleaning makes the problem go away.
Debbie
Okay, here is a screenshot of what I see – on all browsers used. I do not see the products / thumbnails. https://prnt.sc/1gik9aq

Hello,
That’s really, really strange because https://gyazo.com/8c24e8542651514a043dabfb2452ccff
You can upload the video here https://dropmefiles.com/
And open the dev console of Chrome or FF. Do you have any errors there?
Regards
Hi,
I just don’t understand why it works for you and not me. All my browsers show the same error. I have tested on desktop and laptop, still the same result – no dropdown.
I see this in ‘errors’ in Firefox if this is of any help :
Invalid URI. Load of media resource failed. 2 http://www.swankypins.co.uk
The resource at “https://www.swankypins.co.uk/wp-content/themes/xstore/fonts/xstore-icons-light.woff?v=8.0.2” preloaded with link preload was not used within a few seconds. Make sure all attributes of the preload tag are set correctly. http://www.swankypins.co.uk

The above errors also show for my staging site – but that works absolutely fine (search menu and hamburger menu on mobile) so I dont think there are any problems there.
Someone at support did make changes to my Child theme last week. Could anything there have caused this (and also my ‘hamburger’ issue on the mobile – (post 296340 which has now been going on for 6 days)?
Debbie
All fine now, resolved by my other queiry (hamburger menu not working). Thanks
Hello,
Sorry, but you told that menu works https://www.8theme.com/topic/hamburger-menu-not-working-on-mobile-4-days-waiting-for-fix/
So, do you still have a problem with the menu or not?
Regards
It is fixed now thank you.
