Royal Theme Update v4.4 – Question

Please refer to my last ticket ##187388 – which has bee closed

I noticed there a newer v4.5 for the Royal Theme. Don’t know what you added to my folder settings but I’m not seeing the notification in WP Admin that there’s a newer version 4.4 to update. It’s showing the Theme is up to date, but it’s only v4.2

I just logged into my WP Admin and my Royal Theme it’s still showing v4.2 and the Theme Update notification is not showing available for v4.4.

How was it fixed?

Now I see it. What did you do to it? I didn’t see it before.

After I select update theme, do I need to go under Theme Options / General/ and click on SAVE CHANGES or no? I hope there’s no update issues as I had experienced from the last Royal theme update.

Hello,

Please read our documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade
You need to create a backup of your files, database and theme options (Theme Options > Import/Export > Options > Export Options) to be able to restore the site to the previous state if something goes wrong. Also, update all required plugins: https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

Hello,

I have checked the topic settings and see that you check to notify you about replies. Strange that you don’t get the notification. Have you checked the Spam folder?

No, nothing in Spam folder. I’ve been receiving notifications from this site okay until the last 5 days or so. My email address in the profile is up to date. Oh well…

I just saw this message on top of the profile admin page of my support forum account:

WordPress 4.9.4 is available! Please notify the site administrator.

Should you update it to 4.9.4, maybe that’s why I stopped getting notifications?

Hello,

Ok, thank you for the information. We’ll check what could be the reason of the email problem.
You can update WP to version 4.9.4 but you need to make sure that all the plugins that come bundled with our theme are up to date https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
