    Hello,
I purchased the Royal Theme. I am finding that the template is not loading fast due to the php being 5. I have been told by my hosting company and my 2 different developers that the php level needs to be PHP 7 in order for my website to load fast. The royal template is currently php 5. Please could you let me know how i can get around this? The developer has said that it is a template issue and there is nothing he can do about. I am due to launch my company in the next 10 days. Please, please could you get back to me as soon as possible.

I have optimised the images and lots of other stuff and I have got different independent options from developers and they all say as well as the hosting company, that the php level on the template should be 7.

I have updated it to the new Royal template 3.3. I have taken off a lot of plugsins.

    Kind Regards

    Lorna

    Hello,

Our theme is compatible with PHP 7, so you may update PHP version.

Also, due to GTmetrix results https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.victoriawindsor.store/Ru8LdTRB you need to follow their suggestions to increase site loading speed.
    These articles should help you:

    https://technumero.com/minify-javascript-and-css/

    Use cookie-free domains https://www.keycdn.com/support/how-to-use-cookie-free-domains/

Caching – the most important part of optimizing your site is caching. Combine cached page with gzip compression to get better results. We recommend using W3 Total Cache. Read the beginners guide to setting up W3 Total Cache plugin https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/w3-total-cache-settings/
Also, a very good plugin is WP Rocket, but it’s paid.
    Try to use some CDN.

Sometimes slow speed can be a result of your hosting service. If you have checked the above suggestions and the site is still slow, the most likely it is a server/hosting issue. Contact your host and discuss it with them. Because even with the default WP theme site speed could be slow.

In case you need professional help with site optimization you may contact wpkraken team because that is outside the scope of our support.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Regards
