Rounded border of images placed as background on column

Hi on my website I have placed some images as column background and would like to have them with rounded corners (as the text placed next to it, pleasesee screenshot). When I change the settings nothing happens. If I do the same settings on a regular image it works. Is this feature not available for image backgrounds (but then why are the options available)?

Try to add this element https://prnt.sc/mdxLXcwNT5lD inside such columns. Also, the Spacer element will help you to regulate the column height for mobile devices.
