Hello,

I am really liking The Leader, but recently my homepage slider has disappeared. There is still an area for it on the homepage, but nothing is coming up. I have checked the issue on different browers, my sliders are all still in tact and the slider is still in widget area. Let me know if you need my credentials.

Any ideas on what I could do?

Please update theme to the latest version.

No, you need log to Themeforest with your Envato account and download latest version.

Okay – I have installed and overwritten the old version with the new version via FTP. When I activate the 1.8 Version my slider comes back, but my menu and header BG are gone, as well as a few other customization options I added.

Is this normal?

Hello,

Yes, if you edited original theme files. You need make all changes in custom.css file or Child theme to avoid this in future updates of the theme.

Okay – Thank you for the information. I am going through and redoing all of the edits. Do you know why it won’t allow me to set my main navigation menu? I am going through Appearance, Menus, and selecting my only menu as my “Main Menu” and it is not changing.

Hello,

You’re using old plugins versions.
You can download the latest plugins versions at this link https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ ,
enter your purchase code of the theme to get the plugins.
Also please update WooCommerce plugin.
If issue will appear again then provide us with FTP credentials.

Hello,

The reason is you uploaded whole theme package “TheLeader_Ecommerce_Responsive_WordPress_Theme” to the themes folder but you should overwrite old theme version with a new one.
Please watch the tutorial how to update theme correctly (it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same):

After you overwrite the theme don’t forget to activate it in Appearance > Themes because now you have “TheLeader_Ecommerce_Responsive_WordPress_Theme” activated which contains whole package.

Hi Eva,

Thank you for your help. I have watched the tutorial and still must be doing something wrong. I have “checked” the overwrite box when uploading the new version of the theme, so I am not sure what it didn’t Overwrite. Should I delete the old version of the theme? Would that work?
