    Hi,

Is there a hook or some other method through which I can replace the theme menu with mega menu generated from the plugin Max mega menu?

I have found the file – \wp-content\plugins\et-core-plugin\app\models\customizer\templates\header\parts\main_menu.php and can replace it there, but I want to make with a hook or something through the functions.php file in the child theme.

    Hello,

Please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access, so we can take a closer look. Describe in more detail why do you want to use that plugin and how does it work, for a better understanding.
Note that don’t give a guaranty for full theme compatibility with all 3-rd party plugins.

    Regards

    Hi,

I’ve provided the admin and FTP access. I’ve modified the main_menu.php file so I can display the menu.

Actually it is the same menu, but your theme does not support menu location, so I had to follow the Max mega menu documentation (https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/manual-php/) to create menu location to be able activate the plugin functions.

I want to use this plugin because with the pro version I can create menu that I can’t create with your theme options for mega menu. I want achieve the following – -https://www.megamenu.com/ check the demo and see the accordion effect on the submenu items.

    Please contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. XStore uses Header Builder that allows placing menus in any part of the header http://prntscr.com/rvfh9t , so there are no Manage Menu Locations settings.
Create a menu via Appearance > Menus, then select the menu via Theme Options > Header builder > Menu element. Doesn’t it work for you?

    Hi,
This doesn’t work for me because it is actually the same menu. But in order to enable to use the functions of the plugin Max mega menu in the main menu I had to make the changes described in my reply from yesterday 4:01pm.

I’ll try to explain once again:
I do not create new menu, I’m using the same menu but in order to use the functions of the plugin on this menu I had to create a menu location in the plugin settings (Mega menu > Menu locations) because your theme does not support menu locations.

    Hello,

1/ We have added custom shortcode to show menu from menu location which is set by param -> http://prntscr.com/1qvsrx1 (xstore-child/functions.php)
2/ Now you can do the next – https://prnt.sc/1qvsvox
There will be shown menu that is chosen here -> http://prntscr.com/1qvsya3
    [etheme_custom_menu_location location="max_mega_menu_1"]
