As you mentioned, the site has not bad results via gtmetrix. Where and when do you face the slow connection? Describe the problem in more detail.
but you should know this. I made a trial at 2 different hosting companies. There is a completely theme-driven slowdown. Plugins do not work, sometimes even slowing them down. You still have a look but I could not find the solution. then you refund
