I recently installed the “Royal” theme on a website I am creating and from the backend editor in wordpress I constantly get a 404 error “can’t find this page”. If I use the back arrow and try again to publish it, eventually it does seem to work and save the changes I made but, this is very frustrating and wasting alot of time. It isn’t a error that always happens but it happens more than I can work with. This error was occurring after installation & even before I really did much of anything to the site yet. Creating a new page, creating a post etc and trying to publish is leading to this 404. My website is creativelymindfulart.com please help me fix this.

    Hello,

I’ve resaved permalinks settings and created a test page successfully.
Please clear browser cache and check now.

I have cleared cache and I am getting this 404 error still. It is is not ONLY happening when I create a page it is happening when I do some of the most basic tasks such as create or save a post, page etc and even navegating through the various parts of dashboard. In essence I can not work do to everything giving me a 404 error at times. Like I said if I continually go back refresh, then try to save or try to continually navegate to another part of the dashboard it eventually will work. I have already lost hours of work from whatever this error is being caused by and if it isn’t fixed soon then likely I will choose to use another theme as “Royal” has become a royal you know what! It’s up to the tech support now.

p.s. the 404 error does not seem to be occuring through the frontend of site only while using dashboard

    Hello,

Please check if the issue persists with default WordPress theme (Twenty Fifteen).
Seems like it’s WordPress issue, not the theme.
So please check it with some other theme.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Alright I have checked it with the default WordPress 2015 theme and the problem isn’t happening anymore. I had this 404 error almost right away before really even doing anything after the Royal Theme install. I don’t know what I need to do to correct this or if anything can be done? Please advise I am losing valuable time trying to figure out what is causing this error. You have my admin login credentials please check this problem and help me correct it asap. P.s. I contacted the Dreamhost team for support and they seem to believe it might be an issue with the theme itself but could possibly be a conflict with an installed plugin, please let’s solve this issue.

When trying to re-activate the Royal them I got the 404 error and then “Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.” I will try again to activate Royal but something is not working right.

    Hello,

Please update the theme to the latest version and Woocommerce as well.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/royal/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
