There seems to be some variation in instructions on the forum on this, so asking what is the current way to put Google Tag Manager info to header?e.g. some html element, or some code to some file?

I’m using Google Tag Manager plugin, and would like to avoid breaking the Xstore header. THeir instructions for custom:

add the following line just after the opening tag:

Which file to edit, and can I do it with Theme editor or just edit the file?

    Hello,

Follow the instructions https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/google-tag-manager-guide and use Insert footer and headers plugin to add the tag manager code.
