    Hello,

I actually have a couple clients using xstore

I really like it and want to use it for more clients moving forward.

Its just so slow. 5,6,7+ second load times

I have rocket cache installed, and you even went in there and configured it to speed it up.

It sorta works.. initial load is usually very slow.. then speeds up.

But if you are logged in either, admin or customers, and or in cart or checkout.. where caching does not work… its very slow… so not really acceptable.

I have a fast server, is there anything with the server requirments that can boost up xstore to run snappy? I don’t need 1 second.. but at least 3 second load times.

Yes I do have a bunch of plugins installed.. but what site doesnt?

Also, even before I installed them it was slow.

    Thanks
    -Owen

I had similar unexplained issues with speed (in the past)
The way I resolved it was to restart with a completely clean install on a new staging server (making sure that there is no residual data in my database), use the theme installation wizard to create a child theme, start without demo content (by now I would know what to build and how), using only the most critical plugins, and then start adding plugins one by one, page speed testing as I went along. This seemed to do the trick.
Also, don’t use caching. The site should run fine on its own and caching should be used to tweak speeds as final tailoring. If the site performs ‘okay’ (ish) while using (super)cache, you will never get the performance on par with expectation.
Consolidating javascripts and stylesheets will help as well/…

Yea. well its too late for all of that.

I hear what you are saying…

What is it about the non cache.. with plugins…

All the database php querys etc…

Im wondering if there is something I can boost of my server settings to help..

    like php settings etc…

You can try memory allocation on the server, change the value in .htaccess
Your provider can help you with that unless you have direct access.
Maybe deactivate most of your plugins and speed test, then activate those plugins 1 by 1 again, retesting until you find the problematic one(s)
There are some other plugins available that will help you consolidate javascript files. Run that plugin (backup first!) test the site, deactivate the plugin.

The theme itself is more than fine. Mine runs at Google’s Page speed of 92, with a bunch of plugins running for WooCommerce, forms, sliders, SEO, etc
