Question about Single Product Editing with Elementor Template

Hi,

I’m using the XStore theme and I have a parent “Single Product” template built with Elementor.

When I go to edit a product, the “Edit with Elementor” button appears by default. My concern is: if I use Elementor to edit one product, will it override the parent template and create a custom version for that product only?

What I want is to use the global product template for all products, and only change the long description individually (text, images, etc.) without breaking the link with the parent template.

Can you please confirm how it works, and what is the best way to manage this?

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We’re happy to clarify this for you. When you create a global “Single Product” template using Elementor and assign it via Theme Builder, this template will be applied to all products by default.

If you click “Edit with Elementor” on an individual product, it will open editor of product description.

To achieve your goal—using the global template for all products while customizing only the long description—you should edit the product content (such as the long description, images, etc.) directly in the product editor (via WordPress Dashboard > Products > Edit Product), and description – https://prnt.sc/x9GqW6TamoIM .
