With the most recent releases of the Legenda theme and Woocomerce plugin the product zoom on the single product page is not working. Hovering over the image appears to load the full size version of the image but moving the cursor does not move the image. Consequently, only a small portion of the product image can be seen.

If I use the scroll button on my mouse things seem to function properly after that but that is not what users are expecting.

I have confirmed the problem with all plugins deactivated with the exception Woocommerce.

    Help!

    Hello,

The reason is your original images are too small.
Their original sizes should be 2,160px × 2,350px approximately to make zoom work.
So you need reupload your images in higher resolution.

    Hello,

Thanks for the prompt response – much appreciated. I upsized the image on one product as a test, it does not seem to solve the problem. In a way, it’s worse. It appears that on hover the full size image is displayed in the window at some level of magnification (possibly 1:1, I can’t say). In any case – the image is so huge only a corner (in this case a blank area) is displayed. Moving the mouse fails to move the image. Again, if I use the scroll button on my mouse the image will rescale and moving the mouse becomes effective (you can see the changes in the DOM using any browser’s dev tools).

Please see http://dev.bodyloungevt.com/product/deep-steep/ for a live example. This is a major problem for a client trying to get their site launched.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

Zoom issue is related to your child theme modifications. When parent theme is active zoom is working properly.
So please check the changes you made in the child theme.

    Regards,

Thank you! And my apologies for the child theme issue – I understand why it’s happening and can correct – basically a CSS conflict. I did try disabling the child theme yesterday but I think I must not have cleared the browser cache before testing.

Again – many thanks for going above and beyond!
