Hi,

I saw this previous post https://www.8theme.com/topic/product-description/ but I’m not sure it is the solution I was looking for.
I do not wanna hide, but I wanna remove the words “descrizione prodotto” because I think that hide it could be not seo safe, or am I wrong?

Hello,

If you want to remove “Product Description” titles from the tab “Description” on a single product page you need edit Woocommerce file wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product/tabs/description.php (line 16) and delete that text.

and this will fix all articles in the store?

there is something like a WP child theme for this, in order to avoid to cancel the customization on next update?

Hello

Yes.
You should create Child theme to avoid file overwriting during update.
Please copy this file into it saving folder structure like:
wp-content/themes/Legenda_child/woocommerce/single-product/tabs/description.php.

I was doing it while you wrote your answer 🙂
but something went wrong 🙁
I mean that I did what you said, but if I comment line 16 on the original file it works, if I did it on the child one it doesnt work
Could you please check it and let me know where I’m wrong.

Hello,

We can’t connect to your FTP account.
Please check the credentials.
Also I don’t see “woocommerce” folder in wp-admin panel > Appearance > Editor > Legenda Child, there is style.css only.
Copy the file description.php wp-content/themes/Legenda_child/woocommerce/single-product/tabs.

Hi Eva,

I0m checking with my hosting why you cannot login 🙁
I pasted the file here wp-content/themes/legenda_child/woocommerce/single-product/tabs

but I cannot see from the wp admin panel, while I’ll see it from from ftp side

maybe the path is wrong?

Activate child theme in wp-admin panel > Appearance > Themes.
