I would like to use the product category widget on my shop sidebar, with the intention to only show the subcategories of the current category.

The product category widget has the option: only show children of the current category. However, when I tick the box, nothing happens. The widget still display ALL categories.

Hello,

WooCommerce Categories widget is default widget of WooCommerce plugin and we don’t have any options to change it. If you press on category it will show products from category and all the subcategories. The same with the subcategory: it will show the products from subcategory and all the subcategories of this subcategory.
If you don’t want to show the other categories when you are at subcategory you can use option Only show children of the current category in Appearance > Widgets > Shop sidebar > WC Categories widget http://prntscr.com/eimi1d

First of all, in my Widget, I don’t have WC Categories, what i have is just Product Categories and yes I have checked all the boxes as shown of the screen shot you sent and still I am getting samething. https://prntscr.com/i194th and this is what i have on my site https://prntscr.com/i1958s

Hello,

The product categories widget is a default widget of Woocommerce, so if you want to change the functionality of this, it would be better to contact woocommerce support.
Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Product Categories miss aligned to right side when less then 3 or 4 products listed please check my screenshot
