I have tried adding Product Category Descriptions, however they appear in the main menu title. Is there custom CSS code I can add to theme, so that I can include Category description for increased SEO benefits, without it showing in the Menu or on the page itself?

You can delete this description in Appearance->Menu->Description. See screenshot: http://prntscr.com/bizhfj
But be sure that you have enabled “Description” in Screen Options->Show advanced menu properties. http://prntscr.com/bizhqs
