Product Categories widget order is not working as expected

Hi,
So there are multiple options on how to order categories in Product Categories widget from XStore for Elementor.

There is ‘ID’, and ‘As IDs provided order’. I would expect first one to order by ID and second one to order in exact same way as I define the categories in the input box of the widget settings. However this ‘As IDs provided order’ does not work, since you are sorting input in the input box.

Can you provide quick fix for that so I can apply it please?

Here is example of the config for product categories widget:

I have populated those values in the ‘Categories’ autocomplete input field in completely different order. When I select category in the autocomplete input field it automatically sorts the categories on selection in alphabetical order.

The above behavior makes ‘Order’ field value ‘As IDs provided order’ useless.

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you here.
We have previously raised a similar question, but the developers at Elementor responded that they do not plan to implement such a feature. It seems that the only solution would be to modify the widget to a different type (without select2). You can find more information on this issue at https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/13078.
