I am taking this subject again because the question was not answered propertly –
In this post: https://www.8theme.com/topic/problems-whith-translation/#post-68412
I asked
The same happens to me – But if I translate it editing the file what would happen? Will I still have the english words for the english versión of my website? or what if I want to use another language more than Spanish?
Jack Answered
Hello @mothpre,
To make your site multilingual you need to use WPML plugin https://wpml.org/
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
I am using WPML – I have my website on English and Spanish, but correcting this from the code allows me still to have a multilingual website?
That’s is my doubt – How can I solve this without changing the words in the code? Th theme is supposed to be 100% compatible with WPML
Thanks in advance for your help
Hello,
Sorry but your question is a bit unclear. Are you unable to translate with WPML plugin?
You can translate theme files with String Translation option:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/
Before you need enable this option https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/ .
