Problems with footer after updating to 1.8

    hello,

    after updating to 1.8, i have the following problems with the footer:
    1. the footer (static block) only appears on main page. on product pages or for example the checkout, the footer wasn’t shown
    2. the social media icons are shown in the footer although i deactivated them in the theme
