Recently, I’ve been noticing page load times and issues editing subpages in Elementor. I think the issues are occurring after recent updates to the Elementor and Pro Elements plugins. Do you have any information on this? Which versions of these plugins are compatible with the template?

Regarding the Elementor issue, editing a specific subpage takes a very long time to load, and I get the message:

    “Can’t edit?
    Enable safe mode.

Having trouble loading Elementor? Enable safe mode to resolve the issue. Learn more.”

But after a while, the subpage editing option loads.

    Hello @arhadus,

Please, disable the widgets in the Elements widget panel on your website that will not be in use (please refer to the documentation: https://elementor.com/help/element-manager/). The panel editor should then load correctly without any issues. Additionally, we kindly recommend you to check the system requirements as was suggested in XStore theme documentation (https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/xstore-theme-requirements/).

If you need to use any specific widget that is currently inactive, you can manually activate it in the Elements Manager and save the changes: https://prnt.sc/c0YoezVW5V8K.

I understand everything, but I’d like to point out that I’ve been working with the template for over two weeks, and nothing like this has happened since the beginning. Everything worked flawlessly and very quickly. The problem has been occurring for a few days. The only thing I did during this time was update the Elementor and Pro Elements plugins. I also disabled and removed several unused plugins that were installed with the template. I’ve attached the current plugin status.

    Hello @arhadus,

Did you try disabling the widgets in the Elements Manager panel as we suggested? Please note that since you noticed the changes after updating the plugins, the issue is not related to our theme. The Elementor plugin developers have modified their code, so we recommend contacting their support team to learn what changes were implemented, why your loading time has increased, and how it can be improved using other solutions.

We provide support for our own products, and the methods we suggested are trusted solutions that have been successfully used on other customers’ websites.

Yes, I’ve disabled most of the unused widgets and I don’t see any improvement.

I understand that this isn’t your software, so I asked which version of these plugins you think is compatible and works well with your theme. I’ll install that version then.

    Hello @arhadus,

Our theme is fully compatible with the latest released versions of the Elementor plugin (v4.0.8) and the PRO Elements plugin (v4.0.4.2). If you require our assistance, please provide temporary wp-admin access in the private content section.

If you would be so kind, please check what you see there and what could be causing such slow loading.

    Hello @arhadus,

Please note that the slow performance you are experiencing, including on the backend, may be related to several factors such as hosting configurations, the number of installed plugins, resources loaded by those plugins, and any custom code that may have been added.

Regarding the slow performance of the Elementor editor, we believe it may be connected to their recent updates related to the Atomic Builder (https://elementor.com/blog/editor-40-atomic-forms-pro-interactions/), which loads additional assets. This functionality is currently enabled on your website (https://prnt.sc/ODJxgCsNIKpR). However, even with the Atomic functionality enabled, we did not encounter any issues with the Elementor editor during our tests, and everything loaded correctly.

Could you please try disabling the Atomic functionality and check the performance again? Additionally, we recommend testing from different devices or browsers.

    Hello Jack,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have been working with WordPress for over a dozen years, so I know quite well what can affect its performance. As you may have noticed in the admin panel, this website has a limited number of plugins installed. The custom code that has been added is also only related to the frontend appearance and should not affect the backend or the Elementor editor performance.

I have disabled the Atomic functionality, but unfortunately nothing has changed.

I have also tested the website on different devices and browsers, and the delay/problem occurs everywhere.

I would like to strongly point out that this theme has been installed for only about two weeks. I have been working on it almost every day, and at the beginning the website was loading much faster and Elementor was working without any issues.

For example, I also notice that after entering the Products section in the admin panel, I have to wait several seconds before I can edit any product. The backend simply feels delayed and unresponsive in several places.

At this point, I am not sure what exactly is causing the problem. I have also reported this case to the hosting provider, but from my side it looks like something changed recently, because the website was working much better shortly after the theme installation.

    Best regards,
    Bartek

    Hello @Bartek,

Thank you for your detailed message and for sharing the steps you have already taken to investigate the issue. We truly appreciate your experience and the time you have dedicated to analyzing the situation.

Additionally, please let us know if you have recently updated any plugins, the theme, or WordPress itself before the issue started to appear. Any such information will help us narrow down the possible reasons for the slowdown.

Once we receive the requested access details, we will carefully review the setup and get back to you with our findings and recommendations as soon as possible. Also, could you please, share with us the feedback from your hostinger as in our recent theme updates we didn’t make any “slowness” for backend or builder editor.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

    Best Regards,
    Jack Richardson

As I mentioned above, an update was released for Elementor and Pro Elements, and I updated those two plugins.

In my opinion, there’s something wrong with performance after these updates (mainly Elementor, but also the entire site).

I also disabled and removed several plugins that were automatically installed with the template, which I don’t use or care about. Perhaps I removed a plugin that’s essential for the template to function properly?

    Hello @arhadus,

There is no need for additional plugins to improve performance with our theme. However, we recommend following the suggestions provided by website testing tools to identify the main causes of slow loading times. We have attached a video of our test in the private content section. The primary issue appears to be related to certain reCAPTCHA scripts that are loading additional assets (see https://prnt.sc/CmL3gXQOj-cU). You should also optimize the images on your pages, as shown in the examples in our video. Further details on optimization steps can be found in the following reply: https://www.8theme.com/topic/very-slow-theme-loading-time-request-for-performance-analysis-and-optimization/#post-463785.

Additionally, we have deactivated the XStore Advanced Sticky Header plugin, as you are already using the Elementor-built header with all necessary features. We have also added a custom PHP snippet to ensure that Elementor widget styles are loaded on the frontend only when required (i.e., only for the widgets present on your page).

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson
