Hello,

For my blog, I don’t wish to show the whole post on the index but only an excerpt. I understand that can be done within the Post Editor with the Read More tag but I currently have 300+ posts so that would take me time to go through.

Is there an alternative means i.e altering the code to show the posts on the index up to a certain word count?

Hello,

Sorry, but there is no other option.
You have to use “more” tag to show excerpts.
