Post name Permalink not working - by Shobhit

I am using Legenda theme, and whenever I publish any page and view it, it always shows me the default index page layout and blog post instead of the respective page content.

I have tried many times to reset the permalink structure many times but it didn’t work, it only works once I use the default permalink (post id) structure. htaccess file of the website is also correct, So please check and fix the issue so that I can get the page URL exactly.

It’s urgent for me so request you to check the issue ASAP and resolved it. Let me know if need any other info.

Hello,

It’s related to Nginx settings that your server has. If you change the permalinks settings to Post name you need to configure Nginx settings after that. So, contact your hosting provider to get help with this.

But before using that theme, all was working fine, and the server is the same. I just redesign the website using your theme. That’s it. Nothing changes will be done before.

And if its based on sever setting then what exact setting I need to configure or I can ask to hosting provider. Please suggest.

Do you have the same issue if you switch to default WP theme now, on this site?

2) Hosting support should know things they need to change to make it work. Here is official WP docs for this https://wordpress.org/support/article/nginx/ and https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-configure-nginx-for-wordpress-permalinks/

You are saying the permalink service has to fix by the hosting provider to enable nginx, but check the URL: https://www.farewell.africa/LiveSetup.

It is old website and hosted on the same server, but on this website post name permalink structure is working fine there. If issue is related to nginx then it will also create issue on the above URL. So request you to check the problem causing on current website and let me know the solution or fixes.

Is there anything who can check and fix it. My website is live and I can’t enable post permalink. I will loose SEO of my website due to this.

Hello,

Have you contacted the hosting support as I suggested? Problem is not related to our Legeda theme because if you switch to default WP theme, Storefront for example, you’ll get the same result https://prnt.sc/12slypw Try by yourself. So, contact your hosting provider to set up permalinks structure the way it should be!
