Hi,
I’m trying to create a similar page to the portfolio site just with ess. grid. posts.. But I still can’t get the same css into my custom ess. grid. posts. I’ve pointed out what I want..
The screenshot is here: http://revolvd.dk/error3.jpg
The left side is created with ess. grid. posts and the right side of the screenshot is created by the standard portfolio page.
When I do the onmouseover on my ess. grid. posts, the text from the links are going white, and I don’t get that the black line around the links, when I have onmouseover. And is it possible for you to help me out making the thumbnail boxes on ess. grid. posts to be the same size as the thumbnail boxes on the standard portfolio page.
Hello,
As I see the text is white color on Ess. grid projects. To have black lines when hovering the buttons it requires additional customization of Essential Grid files. Please take our apologies but it’s beyond our support scope to modify files of plugins that weren’t developed by our team.
The sizes of images are fine: http://storage4.static.itmages.com/i/15/0612/h_1434096099_3311322_2c364eae5d.png .Do you want to increase them?
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
But it’s not the same size as the thumbnail sizes on portfolio site..??? 🙁
Hello,
You can customize Ess. Grid settings to your needs as described in the plugin documentation:
http://essential.themepunch.com/documentation/#media_source
Please read it attentively.

Jack Richardson.
Hi,
I’ve tried following the documentation, but it doesn’t show as I want it too:
http://jantonycph.revolvd.dk/skjorte/
Can you put it up, so it looks more correctly.. I want the image thumbnail sizes to be exact size as the image thumbnails at this page: http://jantonycph.revolvd.dk/portfolio/
With the title, as I tried to create that too in grid. ess. The titles should be shown under the image thumbnails.
I hope you can help me with this, I’ve been trying a lot.. 🙁
Hello,
You need select a proper skin for your grid in ess. grid settings. Please take our apologies but it’s out of our scope to modify files of plugins that weren’t developed by our team.
If you have any questions concerning the work of this plugin you can ask the plugin authors via comments http://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340/comments .
Thank you for understanding.

Eva Kemp.
Ok,
Now I’ve tried putting the right grid up for this one: http://jantonycph.revolvd.dk/skjorte
But still got some issues, but hope that you atleast can help me with this.
I want the same css for the mouse over on the buttons at the top. Similar to the portfolio site: http://jantonycph.revolvd.dk/portfolio shown on the screenshot below. Red marks are the ones you should focus on: http://revolvd.dk/error4.jpg
And I’ve created titles to be shown in the grid, but it only shows on mouse over on the image, it isn’t visible all the time, which I want it to be.. I’ve put it to be shown always in the grid setting, but it doesn’t work properly. Can you help me out please?
I’ve also tried contacting those who created the plugin, but they aren’t getting back to me.. 🙁
Hello,
Please add this code in custom.css file:
.simple-light .esg-filterbutton:hover {
color: black !important;
border: 1px black solid !important;
}
.simple-light .esg-filterbutton.selected {
background-color: #CDA85C !important;
}
Concerning the title it requires editing of javascript and other files of the plugin. You need ask the plugin authors how to make title shown for the grids.
Please take our apologies.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Ok but I don’t get that white color on the buttons that have not been clicked on..
And how do I disable the left section of the grid. ess. posts, where you can see the categories, search function and so on?
http://jantonycph.revolvd.dk/essential_grid/nature-vs-man/
Hello,
The same layout is used for blog page, so I’ve changed it to “Without Sidebar” in Theme Options > Blog Layout > Sidebar Position. Please check ess. grid posts now.
I’ve added this code in custom.css to change background color of filter buttons:
.simple-light .esg-filterbutton {
background-color: white !important;
}

Eva Kemp.
