Hi, in the main page of the portfolio, where I have the miniatures of all projects I’ve pictures only if the single portfolio posts have featured images inside, otherwise I have only the title and the tags.
If, for example, I’ve both posts with pictures and posts without pictures, the layout of the pages is different because all elements are not aligned anymore.
Therefore my question is: there is a way to add a ‘fake’ featured image (maybe also a simple gray box) until I’ve not inserted a real featured image in the post?

    Hello,

Yes, you may upload placeholder image, for example, https://prnt.sc/gjo0cv, as featured image for portfolio project.

Obviously, I know that I can do this… but my question was different.
I wanted the placeholder already inserted by default in the theme and only after changed with the right picture.
Why do I want this? Because I noted a bug in the theme and this could solve the problem.
Please note that even if I insert all pictures… when the page is loaded with a slow connection (for example from a mobile with a cellular connection) the page is loaded initially without images (because not completely loaded) and after the pictures appear. But in this way when the pictures have finished being loaded, the page is already formed and in this way, the pictures are inserted in a wrong grid.
I would like to solve this bug with the placeholder already in the grid.
I hope you have understood the point.

You are welcome, but can you help me to solve this problem inserting the placeholder or not?

Ok. I hope you can implement a solution in one of the next updates of the theme at this point.
