I can not see how to start a new post so I’m added here! I have updated our PHP version on the server and am having the following issues:
1/ footer not showing
2/ product scroll on homepage not working
3/ accordian layout not working (expand and close not functioning.

Please update the theme to the latest version and Woocommerce as well.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/woopress/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!
(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

where do I download the latest theme version?
When I log into my downloads there is no theme update?
also none of the plugins that have updates for downloads are related to the plugins that I am facing issues with:

You can download theme new version on ThemeForest site http://themeforest.net/item/woopress-responsive-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/9751050 .
The issues may be caused by old versions of plugins WPBakery Visual Composer, WooCommerce, Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer.
So please update the theme and all required plugins.

are you suggesting that I need to purchase the theme again when I only purchased this in October? surely you are not suggesting that??

You need log in to ThemeForest account (where you bought the theme) with your Envato credentials and download new theme version in Downloads section.

I have done everything you said and it has not resolved the issues. I have updated the theme and the plugin and now the site actually looks worse!
issues not resolved in the updates:
1/ footer not showing
2/ product scroll on homepage not working

new issues from the updates:
1/ homepage parallax banners are no longer full screen width
Could you please advise urgently what is causing these issues and how they can be resolved. I have included the site login details in the private notes

As I see you’re still using old theme version:

You need update it to 2.7.2 version.
Also plugins are not updated.
May we update them for you?

Yes I’d really appreciate that as I certainly downloaded them and replaced them today so I’m confused why the versions are not up to date.

thanks but now there are layout issues:-
1/there is some box the to left hand side of the logo
2/ there is too much padding at the top and bottom of the logo
3/ what our clients say – the testimonial text has lost it’s formatting

3. Please clarify how you want the testimonials to be shown.
As I see you’ve added testimonial text with blockquote shortcode. If you want to show testimonials try to use Testimonials Widget element in Visual Composer editor.

ok I used the Testimonial widget – can we change the transparency of the background so that it is a little more transparent – it looks very “blocky” over the image?
