    Hi,

I tried translating the portfolio section.
On the sub-pages are grid elemenets.
They show only specific portfolio categories.

In german it works ok when I enter the category name

(If you want to narrow output, enter category names here. Note: Only listed categories will be included. Divide categories with linebreaks.)

but in english that kind of selection doesn’t work.

    (Nothing found.)

How do I get this working?

    Cheers,
    Melanie

    Hello,

The credentials to wp-admin panel are incorrect.
Please check them and provide us with FTP credentials as well.

    Thank you.
    Regards,

    Hello,

I’ve checked Portfolio page and haven’t see any problems there. The categories are selected successfully.
Could you please describe with more details and show a screenshot of the issue?
Also the link you provided for “URL portfolio section” is giving an error “You do not have permission to preview drafts.”

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

    Again the problem:

If I add Grid element “post grid” on a page, I can choose the type of grid element.
To add portfolio categories I choose etheme_portfolio.
I can choose any categoeris I want.
It works with german categories but not with the translated english categoeris.
    –> Nothing found.

With the new update of visual composer backend editor I can’t choose etheme_portfolio as a type anymore.

It doesent work if I copy the code from the text editor from the german page and exchange the category-name of the german version to the english name of the category.

Using category ids (they are called tag_ids) at portfolio doesn’t work ether.

    1) Please take a look at the following pages (2 links) and explain me how to set up a grid with etheme_portfolio elements in the english version… similiar to the german one.

    2) Please explain how to user category IDs for the etheme_portfolio grid elements.

    Cheers

    Hello,

The reason is you have written German category “Arzneimittel Studien” in the element settings for English version of the page, but as you can see on the screenshot you don’t have such category for English version:

So, you need write other category name for English site version.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

    thanks for your post.

This is the mark-up of the English version

Those are the categories of the English version

Shouldn’t this work? Is it possible to use category IDs for this reason? Why are the IDs listed as tag IDs?

    Cheers

    Hello,

I’ve added ids of the 3 projects for “Drug Study” category in the Posts Grid element settings.
    Please check English version now.

    Thank you.

    Hello Eva,

    thanks for the update.

Adding specific post IDs isn’t the same as adding a category ID. If a new post is added to the category it won’t be displayed using your fix.

How to use category IDs for this reason? Why are the IDs listed as tag IDs?

What do I need to do to set the category with Visual Composer… as described?

    Cheers

    Hello,

Sorry, but these settings are related to Visual Composer and there is no possibility to add categories ids, only posts and pages.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

did one of the latest updates solve these problems?

Using the category name works for the German (source) version. It’s just the WPML translated version that doesn’t work. The components Visual Composer and Legenda are compatible with WPML so there must be a way. Please help me find it.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Please update Visual Composer and Legenda theme to the latest versions and don’t forget to create a back up of your files and database before update.

    Thank you.
