I have downloaded The Leader theme and need a section for a portfolio. I have completed the majority of the website but cannot seem to get the portfolio in a nice grid format as seen on the demo.

My portfolio can be seen on the link below:

I also cannot seem to remove the posts from the sidebar, although I have checked to display no side bar

    Hello,

Have you made any changes in the original theme files?
What theme version are you using? We can’t view it.

To have grid view for project you need select in Theme Options > Blog Layout > Blog Layout > Grid.
It will change the view for Portfolio page as well.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

The theme i am using is the leader, i have tried changing to grid on blog layout but this has made the layout worse. I don’t know why it’s not responding properly when I make changes within theme options.

    It is from this page…http://sparklesessex.co.uk/portfolio

I have changed the display to grid and deleted other test data and inputted my own under portfolio. The theme is the leader and I have not made any changes as far as I am aware.

Okay, I have found out the cause. When I set the permalinks anything other than default. It loses functionality. Is there any quick fix for this?

So this theme does not have the ability to allow custom URLs?

    Hello,

The theme allows to use custom links.
This is default WordPress option and you should ask their support concerning this issue.

    Thank you.

Apologies, I am not sure whether I made it clear. The portfolio seems to only work using the default URLs, http://sparklesessex.co.uk/?page_id=77

When I change this to: http://sparklesessex.co.uk/portfolio

Most functionality is lost and the grids and text overlap. The theme is not allowing me to customise the URL without sacrificing functionality. I would need to customise the URLs as the current default format is messy and will only result in negative SEO.

    Hello,

Please take our apologies for misunderstanding.
There is a bug with “portfolio” slug. You need name it differently, e.g. http://sparklesessex.co.uk/our-portfolio.

    Sorry for inconveniences.

Just one last question, is there any way to remove the button that links to the portfolio post. Ideally, we want this page to just include the other button, the one that enlarges the image. Not a big deal if not

    Thanks

    Hello,

Unfortunately it can’t be removed via custom.css file. Sorry.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
