Hello. I have created a staging environment and gone to update all my plugins. there were 9 waiting for updates. all of the plugins updated successfully except elementor and PRO elements. when going to update these, WordPress throws a critical error which then locks off the site and backend

    Hello @GreenLion,

Unfortunately, due to a critical error on your website, it is currently not possible to log in to your dashboard. We recommend renaming the Pro Elements plugin on your server via an FTP connection and then install the correct version of plugin in XStore Control Panel -> Plugins installer (and remove the old plugin) or providing us with FTP access in the private content section.

You can also find a possible solution to this issue in the following topic: https://www.8theme.com/topic/website-critical-error-when-pro-elements-is-active/.

can I ask you to do this fix on the production site? or do you need a staging site to navigate a fix?

    Hi,

We need FTP access to the site where the problem persists in order to investigate and apply the fix.
For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    Best regards,

    Hello @GreenLion,

Please check now. We have removed the old PRO Elements plugin from your live and staging websites and installed the latest version of the plugin via the XStore Control Panel → Plugin Installer.

    Best regards,
