    Dear Dear,

    Unfortunately i have some issues with this great theme.

    1) There is an issue with visual composer.
    I cannot edit static blocks with Visual Composer, as shown in one of your Tutorial videos with the Royal theme (im assuming the same should apply for the woopress theme)
    This makes setting up a nice footer impossible.

    2) I have trouble getting certain text translated.
    Most of the site and shop is translated just fine (to Dutch)
    Except certain things the popup if you hover over the shopping cart is not translated.
    The Return to previous page button is also not translated for example.
    Basicly exactly the same as the user in this topic has: https://www.8theme.com/topic/problem-with-translation-of-theme/
    Expect i did change some text in the wp-content/themes/woopress /languages .PO file but the text has not changed.
    If i check the file in my FTP the text has been changed and saved correctly.

    3) One final question, slighty less pressing then the other two:
    How can i remove the drop down menu for sorting products, and the SHOW FILTER button (on the Shop/Products page)

    I really hope you can help me out here, because everything else has been great.
    Thanks a lot for your attention, and already the best wishes for the new year.

    Greetings,
    Geert Visser

    Just one add, about the Visual Composer, the following message is showing up in the plugins section: This theme requires the following plugin: Ultimate addons for Visual Composer.
    However its actually installed, and there have been no errors during the installation.

    I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled both of the Visual Composer plugins in logical order to no avail.
    Greetings

    Hello,

    1. I’ve enabled VC editor for Static Blocks in Visual Composer > Role Manager > Post type > Custom.

    2. As I see you didn’t translate default.po file in the directory wp-content/themes/woopress/languages. Please read the documentation:
    https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/#!/2_how_to_translate

    3. I’ve disabled “Show Filter” button in Theme Options > Products Page Layout > Hidden Sidebar > Off and added this code in Theme Options > Custom CSS > Global Custom CSS to hide dropdown order form:

    .filter-wrap .woocommerce-ordering {
      display: none;
    }

    4. I’ve reinstalled the plugin “Ultimate VC Addons”. Please check your Dashboard now.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Dear Eva,
    Thanks a lot for your help, as you can see im new and overlooked or perhaps messed up some things.

    Im still having problems translating.
    Ive used poedit and think i followed all instructions.
    Ive translated just one bit succesfully:

    The return to shop button:

    #: woocommerce/cart/cart-empty.php:22 woocommerce/loop/no-products-found.php:17
    msgid “Return To Shop”
    msgstr “Terug naar de winkel”

    Ive tried the translate these aswell:

    #: framework/theme-functions.php:1185
    msgid “Search Engine”
    msgstr “Zoekmachine”

    #: framework/theme-functions.php:1186
    msgid “Use this form to find things you need on this site”
    msgstr “Gebruik dit formulier om dingen te vinden op deze site”

    And some text that shows when you hover over the cart:

    #: framework/woo.php:1327
    msgid “No products in the cart.”
    msgstr “Geen producten in de winkelwagen”

    #: framework/woo.php:1283
    msgid “Recent toegevoegde item(s)”
    msgstr “Recent toegevoegde items”

    If i look in my FTP without filezilla all the files appear to be correct and updated.
    Yet only the Return to Shop button is actually translated, the rest hasnt changed.
    Which is weird to me because i went about it the same way as i did the rest.

    I havent been able to find the return to previous page button so i have not been able to try to translate that one.
    There arent many things that i need translated this is it for now, but i dont get why they dont change.
    Sorry for being a bit of a hassle but im getting stuck on this.
    Thanks for reading my message
    Greetings,
    Geert Visser

    Hello Eva,
    Thanks again you have been such a great help to me.
    Nearly evrything worked, i think i messed something up in replacing the files after editing with Poedit.

    Im now left with just 2 words i have not been able to translate.
    The Return to previous page button that is part of the heading, i cant find it anywhere so i havent been able to try to translate it.

    And the words SEARCH ENGINE, which i did find and translated (i think correctly using Poedit en uploading/replacing the file in the right way, just as i did and together with the rest, but it has not changed)

    Looking in my FTP and opening the file shows:
    #: framework/theme-functions.php:1185
    msgid “Search Engine”
    msgstr “Zoekmachine”

    It also looks correct in Poedit.
    If you have any thoughts on those i would love to hear, but im atleast very glad to think that i now atleast understand how to do it properly thanks to your help.
    Have a good weekend
    Greetings,
    Geert Visser

    Hello,

    You didn’t translate all strings. I’ve updated your .po file and “Return to Previous Page” string has appeared in the file. Now you can translate it in your nl_NL.po file in wp-content/themes/woopress/languages directory. Please check.
    Also “Search Engine” in also translated now.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hello,

    To decrease space between rows in footer add this code in Theme Options > Custom CSS > Custom CSS for desktop:

    .main-footer-1 {
       margin-bottom: -30px;
    }

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Dear Eva,

    Sorry for being unclear, i was referring to the screenshot i made and posted above in my previous post (it shows my desktop and i dont like that).

    It has worked and the margins on the footer on the front page have changed.
    However on other pages i used a different footer and for that i do not know how to change the margins yet.
    If you have any comment on that id be glad to hear it.

    I have ordered a book about CSS and HTML code so hopefully i can figure things out for myself in the future.

    Have a good weekend
    Greetings

    Hello,

    To remove “#undefined” link you need disable “Full page sections” option in home page editor on the right side.

    I’ve added this code in Custom CSS for desktop:

    .vc_custom_1453159768915 {
        margin-top: -50px !important;
    }

    .main-footer-1 .vc_row-has-fill > .vc_column_container > .vc_column-inner{
        padding-top: 0px;
        margin-top: -20px;
    }

    Please check your second footer now.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
