PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted

Hello,
My Legenda theme Site crashed this morning giving me a 500 error. Could not access the admin nor the site at all. I restored a previous back up from a few days ago and now it’s working.

I’m not really sure what is causing this memory usage since I have cleaned most of the plugins, leaving only the absolute minimum. Updated everything on both wordpress and plugins installed and the site seemed to be working fast with no errors until this morning.

Here is a new error.
Now the site is slow loading again.

You need contact your host and ask them to increase memory_limit value.

Hi Eva, We’ve increased the allocated memory 3 times and it helped initially but it once a week this happens. i have months of reports showing this problem.

I reinstalled and updated both wordpress and the Legenda theme to the latest, and then I proceeded to remove all the plugins except for the minimum necessary.

It worked well for 2.5weeks and it crashed again with the fatal error.

All three repa I spoke at go daddy said we have more than enough memory (2gb) foe this site. They suggested most likely the themehas issues and was not well built.

are you suggesting that for this theme to run properly I need a dedicated server?

why does it crash randomly, why does it need so much memory ?

Please don’t tell me it’s the host again, I have built several sites eay bigger than this one with much less memory. I really need you to tell me if this is a template issue.

Please give us permissions to view all settings in wp-admin panel.
Also you created an empty FTP account. We can’t check any files. Please give us access to be able to view and edit site files.

Hello,

You’re using old versions of the theme and Visual Composer plugin.
Please update them. Plugin can be downloaded at this link https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
Don’t forget to create a back up of your files and database before update!

Please monitor error_log file. The issue might be caused by outdated version of Visual Composer plugin.

Eva, I updated the VC on May 11 and seemed to be workging fine until May 16th where it had the followin errors on mo.php (which was failing before) and Visual Composer as well. So upgrading it did not really solve the problem, it’s still taking up a lot of memory. Please let me know what we need to do to get to the bottom of this issue. Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Sorry, but this is related to your server configuration. You need ask your host to increase memory_limit value. Try to set 256M instead of 64M that you have now:
