Hi

I wondered if you could try and help with speed issues with the xstore theme, on one example I actually used on the theme you supply as a demo, the content is almost identical, but the speed of the site is completely different

For example using pingdom as a speed test, here is the results

xstore – https://nimb.ws/eWZf3Y

Size 2.2mb – Time : 1.08s load

My website with same template – https://nimb.ws/o0VLeZ

Size :2.4mb – Time 7.7s load

Have checked the larger load files, and in fact you demo store has larger MB of images that my template, yet the load times are hugely different

Am I missing some settings, is this hosting based, as we have CDN and various cache installed

I suppose in your case speed issue could be related to server. I don’t have detailed information about the server params where our demo installed because I’m not a server admin and don’t have access to this information. But if you followed our docs and still have a problem with the site speed I would recommend you to contact optimization specialists here. I would like to help you but unfortunately individual site optimization is outside the scope of our support and we don’t have such experts in our support team.

Him, just for your reference, the client worked for a company we used the Xstore theme for, the chap setup his own company and again we used the xstore, this time being a much newer version V6 compared the V5

Regardless of what we did the V6 runs at an unbelievable slow speed, even if we used almost blank pages, nothing we did mattered

So to test, we took a copy of the V5 theme and uploaded it to the site, the difference of speed is incredible, V5 is 10 times faster than V6, theres no comparison, I don’t know what’s been added to V6 to cause this but its a nightmare for speed

Hello,

Did you test the sites speed on the same server with the same plugins installed?
Do you have links of these sites? Could you provide us with access to them to check? Because we don’t get such results while testing.

Well no not now, as we downgraded the website which was on V6 to V5, but the difference in speed is shocking, V6 was having a 10 second loads time

By just rewinding back to V5 (everything else remained the same, just the theme and core was rewound) the speed changed to 2.6sec

We would be grateful if you could make a copy of the existing site to a subdirectory on your server and allow us to update theme there and compare results. Is there a chance to make such test of your site?
