Our plugin for displaying Instagram posts is not working again

Hello,

Our plugin for displaying Instagram posts is not working again. The error displayed is: “Error: Unsupported request – method type: get” (screen1). I tried generating a new token on developers.facebook.com, but now, even when creating a new app, I no longer have the option to select the “Instagram Basic Display” product (screen2). I only see a few other options available (screen3). Do you have any information regarding changes introduced by Meta?

Hello, Gracu_,

We would like to inform you that Facebook has discontinued the basic API for Instagram, leaving only the business model available for business accounts. Unfortunately, this change was implemented without prior notice. At the moment, we are exploring various options to address this issue. In the meantime, you may consider using an alternative solution, such as the Smash Balloon plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/instagram-feed/
