Hello,

our themes use modified woocommerce template files. Thats why versions of these files may be different from default Woocommerce ones. It is not bug and does not affect frontend. You may just skip this notification.

Dear Robert,

we are receiving the same notice, and our caching service provider tells us that this could be preventing the product pages from being cached, significantly slowing down our website.

WooCommerce system status tells us

royal/woocommerce/content-product_cat.php version 2.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 2.5.2

At least, when WooCommerce is deactivated, the entire site caches, and as the oudated template files are the only “abnormal” aspect of the site, and seeing as these templates need to be updated by someone who knows what they are doing … Could you do kindly do something about this?

Hello @Tom Gillesberg,

You can fix the files yourself editing them in wp-content/themes/woopress/woocommerce directory and change the version in the needed files to the current Woocommerce version that you’re using.

We’re using Royal, but I found the file.

So what you’re saying is, you are sure there are no compatibility issues – simply the pro forma version declaration in the PHP file is causing the notice in Admin?
