Other options for header image / slider – no Revolution Slider

Hi team,

Really well done on the theme, I am having a great time building my site.
Just one thing I noticed; since around 2 weeks, revolution slider is loading way too slow.

I want to replace revolution slider header with a different slider / on some pages static image – is there a different way?

In two occasions has the rev slider kicked me out with a 504 error, when loading the templates. I think its not very stable right now.

Hello,

Revolution slider released new update https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ You can try to update plugin and check if it improves the speed. Also, you may try to optimize images that you use for slider https://tinypng.com/

If you want to place static images for simple pages at the top of the site without breadcrumbs you can disable them at 8theme Layout Options of the page and just use simple image in content. If you want to show image at the breadcrumbs you can upload featured image for your page and it will be displayed as bg for the breadcrums.

Or maybe provide me screenshot for better understanding where the image should be.

Another really happy customer here. You’ve covered everything I could possibly look for in the wp theme. Hi, I would like to have a static banner image max screen width 1600px max banner hight 400px and breadcrumbs to show under this banner instead of inside. I tried to achieve this using hero more in the slider revolution but breadcrumbs disappear altogether.

Hi I am trying to make the banner behave like the following. (example site’s link is provided in the private content) The banner should have some margin with a rounded border when the screen size is over 1600px wide to prevent distortion to image resolution. Thanks.

Such option doesn’t exist, but you can achive this via some additional customization. You can overwrite etheme_page_heading function (xstore/framework/template-elements.php) via child theme functions.php file https://prnt.sc/io4izz > https://prnt.sc/io4lhu

I really love your theme and the support you provide. I wanted to thank you very much for the effort you put in making your customers satisfied fulfilling their needs. I want to make the banner different for each category of my store and the widget is preventing me to achieve that at the moment. Is there anything else I could do to achieve this goal?

Hi, after the added Bellow Header widget I’ve noticed issues with the website. 1 is when I hover over the product in the product catalog there is some database error message. 2 on the single product page there is another database data error message. You can see both in the images attached.

Hello,

Oh, I see. You should tell this in your first message that it should be different content for different categories.
Then I would recommend using category description (Products > Categories > edit category and add the banner to the description).

P.S. You have changed the Dashboard pass and I can’t check the second problem. I suppose it caused by third-party plugin that you use but can’t check without admin panel.
