    Hello,

    1) Product sorting option is WooCommerce plugin option, that’s why I would suggest you contact WC plugin support if you have any suggestions about default options. We don’t change them.

    2) Are you talking about WooCommerce product categories widget at the sidebar?

    Regards

    Hi Olga,

Ref No 2. Please see attached screenshot in Private content. What we are referring to are the items on the drop down list e.g. Average rating and popularity. These two need to be removed as they do not apply to us. Hope you can help.

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

Try child theme function.php file if you need to change any function https://businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-remove-default-sorting-dropdown/

    Hi Olga,

Many thanks for the reply. The tutorial is forcompletely removing all the default sorting drop downs.

Could you advise where the Xstore child theme CSS is located please?

Also, we wish to remove the Popularity and by average rating.

Do we delete these from the custom-theme.php or a similar file we hope you can advise on, or is there any code to remove these and where do we put the code, assuming its in the child theme CSS?

Hope you can help here, just a couple more tweaks and I think we’re done, thank you.

    Kind Regards, Su.

    Hello,

You can download child theme here https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ Use child theme functions.php if you need to do any changes in theme functions or add WC plugin snippets.

    Dear Olga,

Will we find what we are looking for when we install this plugin. I thought we already had the Xstore child theme and everything on our site is under the child theme?

The one you are talking about, is this another child theme?

Also, as per the screenshot, there are problems trying to upload this Zip. http://prntscr.com/gx0jj5 so hope you can help.

Once installed, will we be able to go in and rempve the two sort by items that are not required?

    Hello,

What plugin are you talking about? Child theme is not a plugin, read more https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes and you don’t need to install it again if you already have it.
Use child theme function.php to add the necessary code to remove that options.

Sorry Olga, The other day, You mentioned we could access the PHP file and change the two lines as per the Youtube link you sent us.

What PHP file do we need to access exactly, just let us know the name and we will delete this ourselves.

As you know, the previous PHP you gave us was incorrect.

    Hi Olga,

Once again sorry, we have spoken to our hosting providers who have said you as the theme designers will know the exact filename where we can go to delete these items. We can’t see nothing this end.

The php file will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards, Su.

    Hello,

I’m completely confused. You ask about WooCommerce sorting options and we told you that we don’t have any settings to change this, we sent you video tutorial how you could implement this. This is WC plugin default option. If you need help or detailed explanation for WC plugin options you need to contact WC plugin support. I’m sorry, but we provide support only for our theme settings and options. Feel free to ask us any questions about them but if you need help with WC plugin options or settings, please, contact WC plugin support because these questions are outside the scope of our support.

If you want to make any change on your site or want to implement the new functionality you need to use child theme. What child theme is and how it works you can read here.

If you watched video tutorial you see that there was used custom-function.php file because that tutorial was created for theme from TemplateMonster. In your case, you need to use child theme functions.php to add the code https://www.templatemonster.com/help/woocommerce-how-to-remove-some-options-from-the-sort-by-list.html

If you have any other questions about this customization either contact WC plugin support or customization team because our base support does not cover such questions.

    Regards
