Open mini cart when product is added - by TheOne

Hello,

Is it possible for the mini cart effect (off-canvas, dropdown) to automatically open when product is added to cart? Now it just displays this tiny notice in the upper right corner – i barely notice it.

Hello,

Yes, go to Theme Options > WooCommerce > Single Product > Single product layout > Fixed Added To Cart Message > choose Off.

Thank you for the anwser. Two quick questions so i don’t have to open a new topic – where can i enable and edit the sticky bottom menu on mobile – quick shortcuts + more button – dots and where can i disable copyrights section in footer – i just wanna use the static block?
Now it’s showing two copyrights sections…

Hello,

1) Go to Theme Options > Mobile panel
2) Go to Appearance > Widgets > remove content from the copyright widget areas http://prntscr.com/tjszjm
Go to Theme Options > Footer > Footer layout > make sure that footer demo blocks option is disabled.

Hello,

I’ve managed to set the desired effect when the product is added to cart (mini cart dropdown). I noticed tho that when the product is variable the effect is not there – it shows the green bar “product “” is added to cart” on-top of the product?

Hello,

Yes, ajax add to cart and the mentioned effect work for simple products only. There is no possibility to enable it for variable products right now.

Hello,

Variable products do not use Ajax Add to cart by default that’s why you don’t see that effect but only default WooCommerce notification after page reloading that product is added to cart. You may try third-party plugins to add the Ajax add to cart for the variable products https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-ajax-add-to-cart-for-variable-products/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-ajax-add-to-cart/ but I’m not 100% sure that it will call our mini-cart after adding to cart. Anyway, you may try.

I’m also interested about open mini cart when a product is added to cart. I disable the Fixed Added To Cart Message and I check that the AJAX Add To Cart For Simple And Variable Products is enabled. No working. So because I have some variable products I install the above plugins for AJAX on cart pages but nothing work. Any solution for this? I want to open the right-mini cart when a product added to cart, no the cart page.

You can control that from Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop > Shop page layout > Product Added Notification Type https://prnt.sc/2417fib
