No subcategory preview on product page - by sonic

Hi,

Imagine following category structure: Cars > Audi, BMW,… > Audi A4, Audi A5…
I would like to disable the feature that the preview thumbnails of the subcategories (e.g. Audi, BMW) are displayed on the Cars-Productpage. I only want all cars (Audi A4, Audi A5…) displayed directly on the 1st level category (Cars).
How can I achieve this?

Hello,

Sorry, but we don’t have such feature in our theme.
You can try to use some third-party plugin to implement such functionality.

Hi Robert,

so there will be always a preview of the subcategories (e.g. Audi, BMW) on the categorypage (e.g. Cars)?? No workaround?

Hello,

You may try to mark all products with Cars category and the products should be displayed on this category page.
Please try it.

with your suggestion, there still will be the preview-thumbnails of the subcategories on the main category pages, right?

Hi Eva,

Here are two screenshots of two different category pages which both include several subcategories.
Category 1:

As you can see, in category page 1, I have a preview picture for each subcategory. On the second category page, I dont have these preview pictures. Can you tell me why?

I’ve edited settings for “Yoga zubehoer” category and selected to display both products and categories:
