No sidebar showing on single product page

Hi there

I’d like to show upsell products in the sidebar on single product pages. I have selected the right-hand sidebar under theme options > single product page, and Location of upsell products as “sidebar”.

I see no sidebar and no upsell products. See details in private content.

Hello,

You’re using old theme version. Please update and check it.
Don’t forget to make backup of the site before update.

Thanks for the advice. I updated to 2.9.2., but the home page didn’t load properly (only top bar with the wishlist etc, but no menu etc). I reverted back to 2.8.1. Any advice you can give?

Hello,

Sidebar is shown only if some widget is added to Single Product Page Sidebar area in Appearance > Widgets. I’ve added empty Text widget. Please check your single product page now.

I think you misunderstood. No info at all is loading on the entire homepage. Only the thin top bar with cart/search etc.

Your original query in this topic was you didn’t have sidebar in single product page, wasn’t it?
Now sidebar is shown on the page you posted in private content.

As I see home page is loading:

Hi Jack

Thanks for your reply. Your colleague Robert had recommended installing v 2.9.2, which seems to have caused the homepage to not load. I have since reverted to 2.8.1. I see now that the sidebar works. Thanks for your help. Could you advise of what may be causing the homepage not to display when I install v2.9.2?

Also, is there a way to customise the sidebar? For example the wording “Our offers”?

Hello

Please try to disable all 3-d party plugins and check the issue with clean newest theme version.
