New Simple Variation Swatches features needed

Hi,

I want the variation products to be displayed as simple products on the shop pages with color swatches shown beneath the simple products. (example: https://www.gobicashmere.com/collections/accessories-socks)

At the moment, when “Variations as simple products (beta) ” feature is enabled, only the product title can be changed. But the color swatches are missing. I want to swatches to be shown beneath the simple products as well.

I also want to have the option to choose which variation products to be displayed as simple products. I don’t want all variation products to be changed to simple products when the feature is enabled.

Please let me know if you can add this new feature for me.

Hi Rose,

I have created the task. Jack recommended us to Codeable to add this new feature.

The cedeable developer currently have one question for you:

“My developer from Codeable says they can help me with my request of having the “Variations as Simple Products” feature apply to specific products that I select, instead of a blanket ON/OFF that applies to all of them. However, as they will necessarily need the feature to be closely integrated with XStore, they would like to know if you would be willing to add any missing hooks (either actions or filters) that could potentially missing from XStore and that they would yes or yes need in order to properly customize it from their custom plugin, without modifying any XStore core file.”

Please let me know the answer.

Hello, @Jimmy,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

They can rewrite the files: xstore/woocommerce/content-product.php and xstore/woocommerce/content-product-slider.php in the child theme and customize them according to their needs (adding hooks/filters/etc).
This can be done without involving us for implementing global changes to the theme, as it may harm the design and alter the product appearance for other customers who do not require this.
