Need assistance with updating XStore 8.0.3 version

I am trying to install the Xstore photography theme, when trying to import, I get the message below

XStore Core plugin requires the following theme: XStore to be updated up to 8.0.3 version. You can install the updated version of XStore theme:
1) via Dashboard > Updates > click Check again button > update theme
2) via FTP using archive from Downloads
3) via FTP using archive from the full theme package downloaded from ThemeForest
4) via Envato Market WordPress Plugin
5) via Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades WordPress Plugin
6) Don’t Forget To Clear Cache!

*I’ve installed both of the plugins to try to update and for some reason I still can’t import the photography demo. Please assist. In the private content area Is my username and password.

Hello,

The theme is updated on your site, but It is recommended to run import on a fresh WordPress installation. For this you can use WordPress Database Reset plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-database-reset/ The plugin can be used to remove all the existing content and install a new version from scratch. It is recommended to disable the theme https://prnt.sc/unle03 before the reset.
So do reset the current content, install the latest version of the theme (can be downloaded from ThemeForest), and do the import of the mentioned demo, before activations 3rd party plugins.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve installed the theme but it looks completely messed up. Not sure why 🙁
Are you guys able to install for me? I want the Photography theme. It looks much different than the demo. Most of the images are missing, I want the images there so I could replace.

Thanks for the reply.
I’ve imported media on your site. Clear cache and check now.
On “About me” page I see a problem with the Carousel images element, provide temporary FTP access, so we can check it more deeply.

Are you saying you need the log in information for my hosting? Also, the images are there, thanks so much. The idea I have is replacing those images with the merchandise that I am selling. When a customer clicks on the image, I want to allow customer to purchase item. Is this possible, if so how would I go about it?

Hello,

Gallery on the About us page fixed.
If you want to sell the images then you need to create them as the products https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/#creating-downloadable-products

Once you create products then your visitors will be able to visit the product page and buy it.

Thank you for that. But how do I go about making the images on the main page a hyperlink, when click goes to a checkout. I know how to add in the products but how do I link it?

Ok this makes sense. It seems like I can’t make them a hyperlink to checkout. I can only add images of products from the products page. So how do I go about just editing the images that are on the main page? I want to switch up the images, the ones that are there I don’t want.

You can create any custom grid layout (WPBakery > Grid builder) and then use Post Grid or Post masonry grid element and choose the custom grid https://gyazo.com/259862637d144d78e49226747f76e608 or use Products element and choose the custom layout https://prnt.sc/1makwo0
