Hi team,
My CPU usage has been running between 50-100% for a few days now what could be the issue it stays at 100% on Elementor or 50-80% on normal visits please solve this issue
Hi WebLxo,
We hope this message finds you well.
We’d like to share some important updates regarding the speed and performance enhancements in XStore.
Over the past few months, our development team has been working diligently to optimize the theme’s performance. As a result, our public optimized demo now achieves outstanding scores—98+ on mobile and 100+ on desktop—in Google PageSpeed Insights. This demonstrates that XStore is now fully optimized for speed and efficiency.
You can view the performance results here:
https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-woocommerce-1476984-5641372-cloudwaysapps-com/dzka87l4hv?form_factor=mobile
However, we’ve also identified a significant factor that may be affecting your site’s responsiveness: bot traffic. On several client websites, we’ve observed automated bots generating over 50,000 requests per day to dynamic filter URLs on the shop page. Even on high-performance servers, this volume of repeated queries can lead to noticeable slowdowns.
To assist you in investigating this issue, we will provide detailed screenshots in your private support area. These will illustrate the bot-generated request patterns and help you understand how they may be impacting your server’s performance.
Here’s what we’ve done so far:
– Optimized all frontend assets (CSS/JS, images, lazy-loading).
– Improved AJAX filter endpoints to reduce query overhead.
– Strengthened nofollow and other standard directives (though some bots still bypass them).
We continue to refine these protections to ensure optimal performance.
Next Steps:
1. Upgrade to XStore 9.5
This latest release includes all recent speed optimizations and server-side performance improvements. You can download the update from the Downloads section on our website:
https://www.8theme.com/downloads/
or from your Downloads area on ThemeForest.
2. Implement Bot Protection
To effectively block unwanted crawlers, we recommend using a bot-protection service such as Cloudflare or a similar Web Application Firewall (WAF). These tools can filter malicious traffic before it reaches your server, ensuring better performance and security.
Thank you for your continued support and patience. If you have any questions or need assistance reviewing your server logs and request patterns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via the private support forum.
Best regards,
The 8Theme’s Team
After review we found that you have changed the subject of the ticket and have given wrong answer to our problem. Read carefully again and answer.
My CPU usage has been running between 50-100% for a few days now what could be the issue it stays at 100% on Elementor or 50-80% on normal visits please solve this issue
Dear WebLxo,
Thank you for your message and for bringing this to our attention.
We understand your concern regarding the high CPU usage on your server, especially when using Elementor or during regular visits. Based on our experience with similar cases, a significant increase in CPU usage can occur when a large number of users access the same page or functionality simultaneously. In previous instances, we have found that such behavior was often caused by bots crawling the website.
For example, when a bot visits your site, it may trigger multiple processes at once. If this happens at a large scale (e.g., 50,000+ requests), it can cause a noticeable spike in CPU usage, regardless of the server’s capacity.
As a first step, we recommend checking your server logs or using a security plugin to determine whether there is any unusual bot activity or traffic patterns. This will help identify if the issue is related to automated traffic.
If, after checking, you find that the issue is not caused by bots or abnormal traffic, please let us know. We will then proceed with further investigation and provide you with the next steps to resolve the issue.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
Only after logging into the admin panel, all this starts CPU usage 100% with or without elementor, otherwise there is no problem on any other website.
i have attached the screenshot
Dear WebLxo,
Thank you for reaching out to us and for providing the screenshot.
In order to investigate the issue further, please send us access to your cPanel. This will allow us to check the crawl system of bots and better understand what might be causing the high CPU usage when logging into the admin panel.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to resolving this for you.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
check this
Dear WebLxo,
Thank you so much for your message.
We appreciate your attention to the recent changes in your website traffic. The situation is becoming clearer now. Please follow the link below in your cPanel to review the bandwidth usage:
https://cloudcp.defaultserver.net:2083/cpsess1115814812/frontend/jupiter/stats/bandwidth.html
As you will see, there has been a significant increase in traffic to your website over the past three months, especially in July for the domain vectorlix.com.
Could you please confirm how many real customers you typically have per day? At the moment, we are seeing approximately 100,000 hits to your server. We would like to understand whether these are real users or automated bots.
This is important because traffic is the main factor in this situation. If the traffic is generated by bots, we recommend implementing additional protection measures. However, if these are real customers, congratulations! In that case, we suggest upgrading to a more powerful server to ensure optimal performance, as your current traffic levels are significantly higher than before.
You can also monitor in real-time which pages are being visited by following this link:
Additionally, you can view detailed bot crawling which take 400gb of your traffic 90% statistics here:
(We have also attached a screenshot for your reference.)
Please let us know if you need any assistance in analyzing this data.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
Hi team,.
Real users are only 1000/ Day, I have sent the screenshot and the bandwidth is high because videos are uploaded on the website, but I am unable to understand why the hits are high
Dear WebLxo,
We understand your concern regarding the high number of hits on your website, especially considering that the number of real users is around 1,000 per day. After reviewing the situation and based on the information and screenshots previously shared, we would like to clarify that a significant portion of the traffic appears to be generated by automated bots.
These bots are designed to crawl websites and often bypass standard restrictions such as robots.txt or inline blocking methods. Their primary goal is to extract as much information as possible from your website, and they often simulate real user behavior, which makes them difficult to detect through basic analytics.
As AI technologies continue to evolve, these bots have become more aggressive in their crawling behavior. This results in a high number of requests to your server, which in turn leads to increased CPU and memory usage. This is likely the reason you’re observing high resource consumption despite having a relatively low number of actual users.
We have also shared images in our previous message to support this observation and to show that these crawling bots are indeed consuming your server resources.
To mitigate this, we recommend implementing advanced bot protection measures such as server-level firewalls, rate limiting, or using services like Cloudflare to help filter out unwanted traffic.
Please let us know if you need assistance with any of these steps. We’re here to help.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team

Hi WebLxo,
Thank you for your message. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
The issue you’ve reported has been noted and will be addressed in our next update.
Best regards,
8Theme Team
Now i’m using cloudflare for bot protection but My CPU usage has been running between 50-100% for a few days. Why are the hits so many? Is there any issue with the theme after the update? please solve this issue.
Hi WebLxo,
Thank you for contacting us, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We understand your concern regarding the high CPU usage on your website, and we’re here to help you resolve this issue.
While you’ve mentioned that you are currently using Cloudflare for bot protection, we kindly ask you to double-check that the protection is fully activated and properly configured. This step is important to ensure that unwanted bot traffic is being effectively filtered.
You can monitor which pages are being accessed and how frequently by visiting the following link:
https://cloudcp.defaultserver.net:2083/cpsess1115814812/frontend/jupiter/stats/lastvisit.html?domain=vectorlix.com.arjundangi.in&ssl=1
As you can see, there are over 50 requests per minute, which may be contributing to the high CPU usage.
Once you have confirmed that Cloudflare’s bot protection is correctly set up, please let us know. We will then proceed to investigate the increased resource usage and ensure that everything is functioning as expected.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation, and we look forward to resolving this issue for you as soon as possible.
Best regards,
8Theme Team
Hi dear team,
I have sent the screenshot. I have installed bot protections of Cloudflare and the data has started showing. but My CPU usage has been running between 50-100%
Hi WebLxo,
Thank you for your message and for providing the screenshot. We appreciate your efforts in installing the bot protection via Cloudflare.
However, the cPanel access details you previously provided do not appear to be working correctly. In order to further investigate the high CPU usage issue you’re experiencing (ranging between 50–100%), we kindly ask you to send us updated and correct cPanel login credentials.
Once we receive the correct information, we will proceed with a thorough investigation of your case.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
check its working sir
Dear WebLxo,
Thank you for your message.
We would like to inform you that we are currently planning to implement a few changes. These changes are necessary to help us identify and resolve existing issues, as well as to improve the overall performance of your site.
As part of this process, we may need to temporarily disable some plugins, including but not limited to:
– Razorpay: Signup for FREE PG
– Jetpack
– LoginPress
– LiteSpeed
– And a few others
This step will help us eliminate potential sources of errors currently affecting your website.
Alternatively, you may choose to create a full backup of your website and then temporarily deactivate all plugins, except for the following essential ones:
– Elementor
– Elementor Pro
– Core Plugin
– WooCommerce
Once this is done, please try accessing the following URL:
https://vectorlix.com/vectorlix/customize.php
and navigate to the Speed Optimization section.
We are committed to ensuring that everything functions smoothly. At this stage, we have identified two issues that may be related either to additional plugins or to custom links within your website URLs.
Therefore, we recommend proceeding step by step. First, we need to ensure that all necessary options in the theme settings are properly configured to optimize resource usage. Once this is complete, we will conduct a 24-hour CPU performance test. Based on the results, we will determine the next steps to take.
We truly appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to resolve these issues and enhance your website’s performance.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
Also, we kindly ask you to provide us with FTP access that includes the correct credentials and permissions.
Kind regards,
The 8Theme Team
Hi team,
1. I have given you access to the full cpanel of my website. Use it as you deem fit and solve this problem. FTP is also accessed from cpanel.
And I have also sent the location of the File Directory.
2. We have set the website under maintenance mode for 12 hour, you can deactivate the plugin and fix the problem
Hello,
Thank you for your message and for providing access to your cPanel and FTP file directory.
1) We appreciate your note regarding FTP. We understand that you previously used FTP but encountered an issue. Based on the error message you shared:
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry…
Status: Resolving address of vectorlix.com
Status: Connecting to 172.67.167.111:21…
This indicates a timeout issue, which may be related to firewall settings, incorrect credentials, or server-side restrictions. Since FTP access is also available via cPanel, we will proceed using the File Manager or reconfigure FTP if necessary.
2) We have thoroughly investigated your website and conducted several tests. During this process, we identified a few issues that have now been resolved. While testing, we accessed your website, used Elementor, and monitored CPU usage. Everything appears to be functioning normally.
You can monitor your CPU usage in real-time using the following link:
https://cloudcp.defaultserver.net:2083/cpsess0904885017/frontend/jupiter/resource_usage/resource_usage.live.pl#/current
We have also attached screenshots showing that your CPU usage today is stable and remains below 40%. In contrast, yesterday’s usage spiked to 100%.
Summary:
– The primary cause of the CPU spikes (approximately 90%) appears to be due to aggressive bot crawling.
– The remaining 10% was related to other minor issues, which we have now addressed.
– Please note that if bots begin crawling your site again, CPU usage may spike once more.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
CPU usage has become stable and this problem has been solved
But I am noticing that the speed of the website has become very slow. You should test it and see what is the problem. Because earlier also the website was running at a good speed on the same plugin.
But right now the website is slow, when you click on *add to cart* it loads, there seems to be many issues.
Hi WebLxo,
Thank you for your update.
We’re glad to hear that the CPU usage issue has been resolved on your side.
Regarding the website speed, please note that performance optimization is a complex task that involves multiple aspects of your website — including plugins configuration, image optimization, caching, server performance, and more.
To demonstrate the potential of our XStore theme, we’ve prepared an example here:
https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-woocommerce-1476984-5641372-cloudwaysapps-com/dzka87l4hv?form_factor=mobile
As you can see, our theme is capable of achieving a 98+ score on mobile and 100+ on desktop, which is a rare result for any e-commerce theme.
We kindly recommend checking the following on your website:
– Optimize all images (use modern formats like WebP and compress them properly)
– Configure a caching plugin (such as WP Rocket)
– Ensure your server is properly optimized for WordPress and WooCommerce
– Minimize the use of heavy third-party plugins
All of these factors significantly affect website speed and performance.
Please note that such performance optimization is outside the scope of our support, as per Envato’s support policy.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
We don’t care about your website page speed, it depends on the speed of the client’s website, my website has become very slow due to updating the Xstore theme, Cloudflare has also been installed, I am unable to figure out the problem, please review it properly or fix it, I am very upset
I have also deactivated many plugins but still the same problem.
Dear WebLxo,
Thank you for contacting us, and we truly appreciate your feedback.
We’re very sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re experiencing with your website’s performance after updating to the latest version of the XStore theme. We understand how frustrating this can be, and we want to assure you that your concerns are important to us.
Please note that we have enabled the Ajaxify option on your website, which is designed to enhance speed and improve the overall user experience. You can find more details in the attached video.
While we understand your comparison with this theme, we would like to highlight a few key advantages of XStore:
– XStore includes AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) support, which is not available in this theme. This feature significantly improves mobile performance and loading times.
– XStore offers a broader range of customization options for WooCommerce stores, allowing for a more tailored and professional online presence.
– XStore is more cost-effective, providing more features and better value at a lower price point.
Additionally, XStore is optimized for Google PageSpeed. For example, you can view a performance report here:
https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-woocommerce-1476984-5641372-cloudwaysapps-com/dzka87l4hv?form_factor=mobile
This demonstrates the potential performance XStore can achieve when properly configured.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
My website performance 39 only. Check the screenshot sir
Hi WebLxo,
Thank you for your screenshot.
In this case, we are unable to make direct changes to your website, as this goes beyond the scope of Envato support policy. However, we are happy to recommend some important steps you can take to improve your website’s performance:
1. Optimize Elementor: Review the widgets used on your site and disable any that are not in use. You can do this by navigating to Elementor → Manage Elements.
2. Reduce DOM size: You can adjust this in the Elementor settings to help improve performance.
3. Optimize all images on your website: Ensure that all images are properly compressed and optimized for web use.
We recommend implementing these changes gradually—one step per day—and testing your website after each change to monitor improvements. Also, please remember to create a backup before making any modifications.
Best Regards,
8Theme’s Team
