Mosaic view: shorten the preview - by Martin

Hello,

I use the mosaic view for the blog feed. As you can see (link to site), every post is shown in its entire lenght. Is there a way to shorten it to a specific number of characters?

Theme Options > Blog & Portfolio > Blog Layout > Excerpt length (words).

thank you! I forgot to say, exerpt length has already been set to 30 words, but it doesn’t take effekt

Do you have this problem when the parent theme is activated or the situation is related to custom changes in the child theme?

Hi!

Thank you for your help! The thing is, now it shows only text. Before other content was shown too, in particular the shortcodes and the galeries included in the post. How come this is now gone? It was the main reason I switched to the mosaic view in the first place.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the auto excerpt does not support shortcodes and just does not display them. Before this Mosaic view displays not excerpt but all the post content that’s why you had galleries. If you want to show some images then you can use Excerpt area and add text + image HTML code, for example http://prntscr.com/qyd4h5
