    Hello,

I am having a few issues with my mobile menu:

Note: After testing I can see that the following issues seem to occur/occur more on iOS devices using the safari browser. On android devices the issues don’t occur as frequently.

    1) Hamburger Menu takes many seconds to fly out. It seems like the new update made the menu load at the end after the page is fully loaded. I would like the menu to load along side the page so that it is ready to be used as soon as the website is fully loaded

    2) Hamburger Menu’s drop down sometimes does not show up and does not work at all. The menu seems to open the link for the parent menu item, and not the sub menu item where it should drop down to

    3) Mobile menu’s drop down arrows are not visible which makes it seem that there is not a drop down option available.

    4) Also I was wondering if there was a way to lazy load the slider on the main page so that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th image is lazy loaded while the first image is loaded instantly. (this is a suggestion from PageSpeed insights as shown here= https://snipboard.io/EU05j1.jpg)

    Hello,

    3) I have updated theme to the latest version 8.0.3 and there is no issue with the arrows because that bug was fixed in version 8.0.3.
    1) I don’t see any problem with the speed of the off-canvas menu https://gyazo.com/d879985f7fc75b6f5d9f17ebb0e1128d
    2) I found that some issues appear if Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster plugin is enabled. Once the plugin is disabled everything works fine. Do you block any scripts/styles of the core plugin and theme?
    4) We don’t have such option at this moment but I’ll pass your request to our developers.

    Regards

Awesome, thank you for resolving all the issues. The only final thing that I noticed is that when I attempt to tap the search bar on apple devices there seems to be a 1-2 second Delay for the keyboard to pop up. I do not notice this on the google’s simulation of an iPhone X. However, I do notice is on multiple iPhones (have tested over 10 iPhones with the same result)

    Hello,

Oh, I’m afraid we can do nothing with this. It’s related to the mobile browser itself. I suppose you have the same delay for all the other inputs (on checkout etc).

The delay is with the search bar specifically on Apple devices (I have tested in multiple browsers). Even when I add the search bar to the menu instead of having it directly on the site, it seems to have a delay. Since many users around the world use apple devices I was wondering if you could pass this issue to your developers. On the previous version the mobile menu had issues but the search bar was fixed, I am sure that it can be fixed if the developers look into the issue.

    Thank You

    Hello,

Could you, please, create staging site (full copy of the existing site) and provide us with access to allow our developers to check the issue in more detail and make some tests? To avoid testing on the production site.

    Regards

    Hello,

I have created a staging site with all the files/database connection to the new site so that your developers can check the issue/run tests. The new information is in the private content area.

    Please contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

I am not sure if the developers found anything yet. I discovered that the search bar seems to depend on the menu. Since my menu is very large it seems to slow down the search bar for some reason. When I change the mobile menu to something like “secondary menu” or something with less options it seems that the search bar instantly works on the iPhone. Hope this helps. Please let me know if any solutions come up.

    Thank You

    Hello,

Go to Theme Options > General > enable Mobile Content Optimization option, clear cache and try the search speed after that. Let me know about the results.

    Hello,

So I tried that and it seems to help a bit, instead of a 2-3 second time before the keyboard comes up it takes 1-2 seconds. Still is not instant like it is on android devices.

Additional information: When I add an additional search bar (3rd party search bar with html block to insert into header) on the 2nd row of the header builder and use the 3rd row of the header builder for the search bar provided by the theme, it seems to work instantly upon tapping the search bar keyboard pops up immediately. Not sure if this will help further investigations.

    Hello,

Sorry for the delay in answering.

Here is answer from one of our developers:
“I did not find problems from our side. The test site of the customer was tested on iPhone, and a few of our demos also. For example https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/2/niche-market https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/2/niche-market02”

To be able to solve, we need to see the problem, so, please, re-builder the header content, to make the problem visible. Or import a demo on a staging site and check the search.

    Regards

    Hello,

Thats okay, could you please show this to the developers?

    https://streamable.com/riwpti

In this video clip I am demonstrating the delay occurring, I am not sure why it is occurring. I do know that if I disable the menu completely the search bar works instantly. Also if I open the mobile menu and close it, then tap on the search bar or reload the page the search bar delay comes up once again

    Hello,

You have a lot of items in menus, so there is the next workaround:
Enable Mobile Content Optimization in Theme Options > General, then go to Customizer -> Header Builder -> Mobile menu -> Off -canvas type (popup) – http://prntscr.com/1qjow8j
We have implemented this solution on your staging web-site so you can check there.
Keep in mind that it is a temporary solution and we will release the update with fix for it and after that, you will be able to turn your mobile menu options back (Follow our changelog)

    Hello,

I see that with the change of the mobile menu canvas along with the mobile content optimization the search bar works perfectly. However of course the mobile menu is very slow. I will follow the changelog to see when it is updated.
